Introducing our new {Click and Pic} Party

By Wes Roberts in alabama photography troy georgia portrait

You know how it is when you have something to tell but you just can't, or at least not yet.  That has been me for the past couple of weeks.  I have basically held on to this until we had the site finished and now here's some exciting news from us!

We are so excited to introduce newness to our portrait side by releasing our {Click and Pic Party}, something we have been holding on to for a while.  If you’re looking for a great way to hang out with friends and have pictures of your family as well, then this is it.  This is such a great time to host a party since the holidays are just around the corner!!!

In the past week I've shared a couple of images from the Camp's wedding, but I wanted to go ahead and reveal the full post.  As a photographer, one of the aspects I love about weddings is the venues that we get to shoot in.  When Susanna told me that their reception venue was the new Auburn Arena and that they were going to be the first wedding couple I knew that there were going to be couples who would die to be the first.  I will say that it was great to be able to walk in there and be in awe of it.  The staff was amazing and if you are interested in it definitely give them a call and get it set up, you will not be disappointed.

Anyway, I want to say a big thanks to Susanna and Hunter, their families and their friends.  We had such an amazing time with y'all and I think the pictures show.

Malerie + Brandon {Troy, AL Wedding Photography}

They met 6 years ago, but it really began over a game of darts.  A challenge if you will and the game ended with a bulls eye  to Malerie's heart.  From that first meeting between Malerie and Brandon their relationship began to build.  As the buzz of the wedding day events began, everyone was excited (as they should be).  For me it was exciting as well.  It was a chance to return home, to our old church, to many friends and to be excited for these two families that we had known while we were in Troy.  Guys, congratulations and we couldn't  be more excited for both of you as this new journey begins!

One of my favorite shooting spots is going away.  Its returning back to the grave in a matter of saying, actually, it's being restored back into what it originally was, a cemetery site.  I know kind of a weird thing and a lot of shady things.  Either way, I was fortunate enough to be able to shoot there one last time with another one of my favorite families.  My sessions with them are always filled with so much FUN.  Running around, funny faces, crying, but either way, its fun and I love it!  What a beautiful family!

The next stop on the road show, the city of the 2011 NCAA National Champions and a couple that loves their Tigers.  Even though I never attended AU, it's always great when we get to roll through there and especially having the opportunity to shoot at the beautiful Julia Collins Art Museum.  For Will and Sharon it was a dream come true of being able to share the things they love and having them all in one place; family, friends and school.  I love how things work out on wedding days.  The ceremony was to be outside, why does that matter?  Because it rained, but the staff at the museum was amazing in accommodating the change of plans.  Even after the hard work and changes, the rain stopped, sun came out, and even had a rainbow make an appearance; the second in my photography career.  Another reason it was such a great day was that we got to celebrate not only a wedding but also Sharon's birthday!  Sharon, happy late birthday!  I hope this preview will be a great present!
