Christmas lights are up, the tree is glowing, and the fire place is roaring; keeping you and your family warm. You have a prepared a wonderful Christmas dinner and will gather with family and friends to celebrate the holidays. But what if all of that changed and you were left to fend for yourself and your family on the street. Cold, hungry, tired and living in fear from moment to moment. Many people around us are facing this challenge every day. They are homeless, some by choice, some by circumstance. They are trying to survive!  As Christians, we are called to take care of these people! The poor, the needy, the orphans and widows.  One girl in particular, Elise Horne,  is doing just that. She has made it her mission to see that these people in our community are cared for!  Go.Tell.Love. Her mission is simple. Go to where the need is in the community. Tell them about Christ and how much he cares form them. Love them!

Not only does Elise have a heart for her community but the Lord has given her an incredible voice. She has chosen to use her voice to honor Him!  In an effort to raise money for Go.Tell.Love. Elise, along with others at our church, recorded a Christmas album. We were given the awesome opportunity to take pictures of Elise for the album. 100% of the funds raised from the sale of the album will go directly to Go.Tell.Love. Elise’s upcoming project will be hosting a Christmas banquet for the homeless in our community. On Dec. 23, a banquet will be held to love on these people in our community. They will be given a fabulous, hot meal, hear the gospel, and receive Christmas gifts.  All of this made possible because of one girls heart for Christ!  Please go to iTunes (search Elise Horne, Go.Tell.Love) to purchase the album or contact us for a copy of the CD.

As we left the easy sounds of the beach, my thoughts were on the wedding day for Rachel and Rob and excitement for them.  I know they had been long awaiting this day with anticipation and emotion as well as many family members and friends.  Among all the deliveries, the sounds, the buzz, there was Rachel, taking it all in.  This was her dream day; the day that had been thought of a million times and especially since the day Rob expressed his longing to make her his life long helper.  The dress that hung on the wall fit her as she had dreamed as well, and then the word came that time was drawing closer.  With a rush and help of the bridesmaids Rachel was as radiant as the ring on her hand.  The sensation of adrenaline and butterflies all balled into one filled their bodies as the couple began their first glance.

Who cares about heat when you have an amazing bride and groom, an old truck and its a wedding!  I loved the way these came out and wanted to give a quick preview for everyone to check out.  Hang in there for more Kori and Matt goodneess coming in the full blog post!  

Whenever I have the opportunity to shoot outdoor country weddings, it always takes me back to when I was a kid out at my grandparents land; open area, trees, high grass, flowers.  When I found out that Lacy and John's wedding was going to be just that, I got excited!  These two (Lacy and John) are amazing people.  I got to know them from another one of our couples I had the honor of shooting last year (Meagan and Hunter) and knew from that point they were going to awesome.  The country side wasn't the only thing that excited us, but the amount of detail and creation that was put into making this wedding one that would be a cherished memory for them.  LeRae Events+Design did an amazing job creating a one of a kind wedding detailed just for the couple.  Everything thing about this wedding warms our hearts from the tea cups, to the vintage furniture, to the grits and fried okra.

You'll probably remember Elise and Joey from their engagement session here.  Well time came and the wedding was here for us, it always seems like the time passes like the wind.  The day before was filled with a bad storm that we thought was going to linger.  Thankfully it passed and we couldn't have asked for a better day.  So with perfect weather, a wedding at hand, and two super amazing people, it was bound to be special.  Elise and Joey, you are special people and I'm so thankful that I have the opportunity to know you; a thank you also goes to Janie for sending you our way.
