Clay and Candace

By Wes Roberts

On a day that was supposed to be filled with rain and thunderstorms, love peeked through the clouds and pushed the rain aside.  If you've never been to the 4-H Center just outside of Columbiana, take a trip there.  It sits just off the lake and is situated right in the beauty of nature.  When Clay and Candace contacted me about shooting their wedding, I was really pumped since Clay is one of my fraternity brothers and was also a student worker of mine at the university.  Little did I realize (dispite of the rain and a little humidity) how great things would turn out.  Great light, a perfect setting, and a beautiful bride.  I hope you enjoy these and thanks to Clay and Candace!

God Bless,

Wes

Food for the Poor

By Wes Roberts

While I was on here I wanted to throw out this ministry that I heard about.  It's called Food for the Poor.  There who vision is to provide food, housing, health care, education, and alot more to the poorest of the poor in the countries along Latin America and the Carribean.  Their mission is based on Matthew 25:31-46.  So if you get time check it out and see where you can help.

Vaction

So we just got back off of vacation from Meag's home (love going, just hate the drive).  I-10 could fall off the face of the earth and I would not miss it.  Anyway while we were there Meag's parents had planned some things for us to do, and we were ready.  The major plan for the week was to go to St. Augustine for the night, and also go to Epcot.  Also note since Meag had surgery all the traveling for her was done in a wheelchair and guess who did the pushing, all around St. Augustine... and Epcot... and other place we went? You got it!  But I enjoyed it, it was a way to serve my wife, plus when we went to Epcot... straight to the front of the line baby!

Just a few other words and I'll get to the pictures.  If you've never been to St. Augustine, go.  And while you’re there go to take the tour of Flagler College (they have windows made by Tiffany (the same guy who made the lamps) that is worth $32 million) and eat at A1A Ale Works.  Here's something else that was just weird and I can't believe I didn't get a pic of this.  We were heading up to St. Augustine and just our side of Daytona on the oppiste side of the interstate, there was a plane.  A plane had landed on the interstate, AMAZING!!!

Anyway, so for my birthday Meag buys me a new little camera (Canon Powershot SD750) and I'm in love with it (Canon makes great cameras).  In fact all the pictures I'm posting on this post were taken with it.  Little, sharp, and a pretty decent megapixel count, I'd say well worth the buy. If you’re in the market and you don't have a lot of money, consider it; if you do have the money..give me some and they go with the top of the line.  Something cool about it is it also takes video and when you view the picture and you rotate the camera it pic also rotates.  Well, I'm done.  Stay tuned this week; I'm going to try to post some pics from the latest wedding I shot.

God Bless and Thanks,

Wes

Kristy and Michael

By Wes Roberts

Just wanted to post a couple from my step-sisters wedding.  It was great to have a chance to see her and her new husband share their love in such a great place.  The house was an old grist mill that had been converted and was beautiful without a doubt.  What made this wedding even more special was the fact that it was in honor of the bride's grandfather who had just past away earlier that week.  But this was a blessing.  Thanks and I hope you enjoy.

God Bless,

Wes

Wes Roberts Photography {Two Bright Lights Editor's Choice}

I remember when I first started photography.  I was a no nothing college student taking a couple of classes for fun, which was anything but!  I can remember having prints critiqued and rejected by my instructor, at times, a heart breaking hit that would warp the idea of what I thought was a good [...]

It's Friday!  And we have a great wedding to feature today!  From the time we met Amber and Philip we knew they were amazing.  For me (Wes), I really get to know our couples during the engagement session as nearly every topic of conversation comes up.  I love this, because it puts an at [...]
