Here's a Freebie

By Wes Roberts

Something I loved growing up was the Peanut Festival.  It always was so great; the food, rides, smell of live stock and carnies.  I had an idea of a shoot that I want to do and need a willingly able body couple or family who wants a free shoot (no sitting fee, plus admission is on me… and a couple of rides).  At the end of this month is the National Peanut Festival in Dothan and I want to do a shoot at the festival to see what I can come up with.  If you are interested let me know through the comments and we will work something out.  I promise it will be fun and not be redneckish.  Let me know!

Thanks,

Wes

Opening Shop!!!

By Wes Roberts

Get ready because I've got some very exciting things I'm about to post.  Are you ready?  Really ready? OK,

By the end of the year Wes Roberts Photography will have a new place of business based out of Troy.  I finally made the decision to open up shop and man has the Lord provided.  He has provided an amazing place (enough to meet my needs), has provided more than enough business to allow this and all I have to do is shoot pictures and honor Him.  Where will it be?  Just off the square, right next to the Little Framery and Landmark Reality.  So we are supper pumped!!!!

These Are Our Days

By Wes Roberts

I've gotten a little behind in getting these games up.  Because I'm behind, I'm posting two games that covers 3 weeks.  Since the last post, the guys have fought hard in 3 games but have lost in the last two.  None the less, their spirit still thrives and is ready for the next fight.  I hope you enjoy these as much as I had fun taking them.  Remember you can check out all the pics at this link, even purchase if you would like.  Anyway, talk at you soon and God Bless,

Wes

Trish and Jon

By Wes Roberts

Hey guys,

We had an amazing time this weekend shooting Trish and Jon's wedding at Gulf State Park down in Gulfshores, AL.  Normally I don't care for the beach, something about the hotness, being sweaty and sandy as well as the smell of tanning lotion just turns me off.  But when it for a good reason I can enjoy it.  This time was such a good reason and guess what I did enjoy it (but you can give me the mountains any day).  Back to Trish and Jon!  I don't think I've ever met a couple who were more laid back on their wedding day then they were, even when a couple of things seemed to go wrong like large groups trying to take over their reception area (which they did not succeed).  They are such a great couple and hopefully you can see this in the pics.  Guys, y'all are great and thanks for letting us have the opportunity to shoot your speacial day, I hope you enjoy this preview.  May God bless.

Wes

Wes Roberts Photography {Two Bright Lights Editor's Choice}

I remember when I first started photography.  I was a no nothing college student taking a couple of classes for fun, which was anything but!  I can remember having prints critiqued and rejected by my instructor, at times, a heart breaking hit that would warp the idea of what I thought was a good [...]
